Nursery Admissions

3 year olds:

Children are admitted to Nursery from the term after they turn 3 years old. All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours free funded nursery entitlement. If you wish to apply for a place in Nursery contact the school directly.

The Government also offer extended funding (up to 30 hours per week) for eligible families. To qualify for the additional hours of free childcare you will need to earn the equivalent of 16 hours on the national minimum wage per week.  To check your eligibility go to https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/.

You can also contact the Childcare and Families Information Service on 01332 640758 or earlyyearsfinding@derby.gov.uk.

Nursery places are in demand and we have a waiting list therefore we advise that you register your child for Nursery on his/her first birthday. The allocation of nursery places is in accordance with the Nursery Admissions Policy.
