About Us
Cottons Farm Primary Academy is a community primary school for children aged three to eleven. We are part of a multi-academy trust The Harmony Trust.
We are proud to serve a diverse community and believe that one of our greatest strengths is our inclusive culture. The Academy has improved rapidly in the last two years and we are now able to offer an outstanding education to all our pupils. Our success is marked by our above national average results in KS2. We are also the fastest improving school in Derby based on KS2 results.
Our building is fantastic. The new school building opened in 2005, when the school was re-named, and as such has many modern facilities. We have large school grounds, a safe and engaging early years garden, a spacious sports hall, modern classrooms and bright, open corridors.
The school’s capacity is 140 primary pupil places plus 26 FTE nursery places.
We have close links with local primary and secondary schools and community organisations including St Stephens Church . We also have regular links with Morrisons Flower World, Rolls Royce and other local businesses, who provide support with areas of the curriculum.
Our curriculum is broad, balanced, sequenced and ambitious and is underpinned by our 4 golden threads
Because of our recent success, our wonderful premises and knowledge driven curriculum, we firmly believe we should be the number 1 school of choice in Sinfin.
